Senior Full Stack Developer - Marketing Platforms

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll contribute to the agile process of a team of software engineers focused on pushing the limits and striving for innovation to create exceptional personalised customer experiences and solve difficult business problems based on a robust, low-latency platform.

You will assist the Team Lead in gathering requirements and functional specifications, assessing the current software systems to identify areas in need of improvement, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality software solutions in collaboration with a team of Full Stack Developers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in and responsible for analysis, design, development, testing, release, administration, tuning and implementation of web-based solutions across both front and back-end spectrums.
• Designing, building, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
• Develop integrations, prototypes, and proof of concepts for advanced platforms such as cloud systems, marketing platforms, Google products and other external systems which communicate with the internal company systems.
• Maintain, curate, and extend the Digital environment and technological assets of the Betsson Group.
• Upgrading, configuring, and debugging existing systems.
• Providing technical support for web applications.
• Troubleshoot problematic code.
• Stay on top of evolving technology providing efficient design and improvements of the platform architecture
• Perform code reviews and mentoring to assure quality and consistency of applications produced by the development team

What You Bring:

Previous experience as a PHP developer is a must and you have relevant experience with most of the below Technical skills. You are a team player who readily offers help and shares knowledge with your colleagues. There's also a good chance you'll be lying awake at night reading up on all the latest tech - just like us!

• You are an exceptional developer with an aptitude for new technologies who loves to push the boundaries to solve real business problems
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills
• Solid experience with Linux shell scripting and environment monitoring processes
• Solid experience in PHP together with framework knowledge (such as CakePHP/Laravel)
• Solid experience in JavaScript together with framework knowledge (such as VueJS)
• You display initiative, self-motivation, and effective time-management skills
• Familiarity with Agile engineering practices
• Solid experience in Database development including database design, Structured Query Language (SQL) and SQL query optimization. 
• Experience leveraging AI-powered development tools (such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, or equivalent) in the software development lifecycle.

Nice To Have:

• Working knowledge of cloud-based architectures and services (preferably AWS), including compute resources (e.g. EC2), networking fundamentals (e.g. VPCs, subnets, security groups), and data processing services (e.g. AWS Glue)
