How to get it, cost and timeAbout this role
Are you our next Senior Compliance Manager?
For this role, you need to be based in Malta, Tallinn, or the Isle of Man.
As Relax Gaming continues to grow across regulated markets, strong regulatory compliance is essential to how we operate, launch products and support our partners.
We are now looking for an experienced Senior Compliance Manager to join our Compliance & Regulated Markets team. Working closely with the Head of Regulatory Compliance, you will take independent ownership of key compliance workstreams across multiple jurisdictions and help turn complex regulatory requirements into clear, practical actions.
This is a broad and influential role covering market access, licensing, regulatory change, unauthorised game distribution, audits and compliance assurance. You will collaborate closely with Legal, Product, Technical and Commercial teams, while also engaging with regulators, operators, aggregators and external advisers.
We are looking for someone who combines strong regulatory judgement with a practical and collaborative approach. You will be trusted to investigate issues, assess risk, provide clear advice and drive actions through to resolution.
Your responsibilitiesRegulatory compliance and market access
Work closely with the Head of Regulatory Compliance across all areas of regulatory compliance, while independently owning assigned workstreams.
Monitor and interpret regulatory developments across multiple jurisdictions.
Assess the regulatory implications of new market entries, game launches, operator onboarding and new products or services.
Manage licensing obligations, including applications, renewals, registrations, approvals and jurisdictional reporting.
Translate regulatory changes into clear operational requirements and coordinate their implementation across the business.
Provide proactive guidance to ensure Relax Gaming and its partners continue to meet applicable regulatory requirements.
Game distribution and unauthorised use
Monitor and investigate illegal traffic and the unauthorised distribution of games through unlicensed operators, websites or prohibited markets.
Assess potential licensing, contractual and regulatory breaches and recommend appropriate action.
Work with Technical, Product and Commercial teams to implement restrictions, suspensions and corrective measures.
Develop and improve procedures for investigating, documenting, escalating and resolving unauthorised distribution incidents.
Engage with operators, aggregators and other third parties to investigate incidents and secure corrective action.
Monitoring, audits and assurance
Lead regulatory risk assessments, compliance audits and investigations.
Identify regulatory vulnerabilities and gaps in internal controls.
Coordinate regulatory audits, inspections and information requests.
Ensure that regulatory documentation and supporting evidence are accurate, complete and readily available.
Oversee remediation activities and review whether corrective controls are working effectively.
Prepare clear compliance reports covering regulatory developments, risks, incidents, outstanding actions and recommended solutions.
Stakeholder management and advisory
Provide practical regulatory guidance to internal stakeholders and external business partners.
Advise Legal, Product, Commercial and senior management on regulatory requirements, risks and recommended actions.
Liaise with gaming authorities, external advisers and relevant third parties on licensing and compliance matters.
Coordinate regulatory submissions, licensing administration and reporting together with the Head of Regulatory Compliance and the Legal team.
Communicate regulatory changes, responsibilities and deadlines clearly to relevant teams.
Support compliance awareness by turning complex source material into useful analysis, guidance and impact reports.
Has at least five years of regulatory compliance experience within the iGaming industry, working across multiple jurisdictions.
Has experience in a B2B supplier, game studio, aggregator or platform environment.
Has independently owned regulatory compliance activities or workstreams.
Has strong knowledge of international gambling regulations, supplier licensing requirements and market-access restrictions.
Has experience identifying and managing risks connected to unlicensed operators, restricted territories and unauthorised game distribution.
Can independently interpret complex regulatory requirements and translate them into practical controls and actions.
Has experience communicating with regulators and managing regulatory interactions.
Brings strong analytical, investigative and risk-assessment skills.
Communicates clearly and confidently, both verbally and in writing.
Can prepare structured and accessible regulatory assessments and recommendations in English.
Take ownership and accountability for compliance outcomes.
Exercise sound independent judgement.
Can manage several priorities across different teams and jurisdictions.
Follow actions through to resolution rather than stopping at advice or analysis.
Are organised, thorough and attentive to detail.
Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Remain effective in a fast-changing international regulatory environment.
Approach complex challenges with curiosity, pragmatism and a solutions-focused mindset.
Holding a key personal licence issued by the Malta Gaming Authority, UK Gambling Commission or another relevant jurisdiction.
Previous experience working directly with game distribution, aggregation or market-access matters.
Experience supporting regulatory audits, inspections or enforcement-related investigations.
If you enjoy bringing clarity to complex regulatory questions, taking ownership of meaningful compliance work and collaborating across an international organisation, we would love to hear from you.
