Property Maintenance Person

We are looking for a reliable, practical and hands-on Property Maintenance Technician to
join our team and take care of the maintenance and upkeep of our short-let rental properties
in Malta.

Main duties and responsibilities
· Carry out general maintenance, repairs and routine property inspections.
· Identify and resolve day-to-day maintenance issues promptly.
· Perform minor plumbing repairs and basic electrical maintenance within the limits
of the employee's competence and authorisation.
· Carry out painting, decorating, basic carpentry and furniture assembly.
· Repair or replace minor fixtures, fittings, handles, locks and other household items.
· Identify maintenance issues and arrange specialist assistance when required.
· Deliver and collect supplies, equipment, furniture and other items between
properties.
· Assist with preparing apartments and ensuring they remain in good condition for
guests.
· Keep work areas clean and tidy and use tools and equipment safely.
· Report completed works, outstanding repairs and any damage or issues requiring
further attention to management.
· Coordinate with external contractors when specialist repairs are necessary.
· Carry out other practical maintenance tasks as required.

Requirements
· Previous experience in general maintenance, handyman work or a similar practical
role is preferred.
· Good practical skills and the ability to use common tools safely.
· Basic knowledge of plumbing, painting, carpentry and general repairs.
· Ability to identify problems and find practical solutions.
· Reliable, punctual, organised and able to work independently.
· Flexible approach to different tasks and changing priorities.
· Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
· A valid driving licence.

A relevant vocational qualification is an advantage but is not essential where the candidate
has suitable practical experience.
Employment: Full-time, 40 hours per week, spread across 6 days, with flexibility required to
meet the maintenance and operational needs of the properties.
