Role Purpose
The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) will lead the overall commercial strategy, revenue performance and growth of SiGMA Group across all brands, regions, products and revenue streams.
This is a Group-wide leadership position with commercial responsibility spanning SiGMA Events, AIBC, FXWorld, AGS, the SiGMA Nexus Executive Programme, exhibitions, conferences, sponsorships, awards, poker, VIP and executive programmes, and other commercial products developed by the Group.
Working closely with the CEO, CFO, Managing Directors, regional heads and functional leaders, the CCO will oversee and coordinate commercial operations across all territories, ensuring a consistent, results-driven approach to revenue generation, business development and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
1. Commercial Strategy & Business Growth
Develop and execute the Group's overall commercial strategy, translating business objectives into clear, measurable plans across events, regions, products and revenue streams.
Identify opportunities for expansion into new markets, partnerships and business verticals, working closely with Managing Directors and senior leadership to establish commercial priorities and sustainable growth plans.
Provide strategic commercial direction for the launch of new events, products and regional operations, ensuring opportunities are commercially viable and aligned with the Group's wider objectives.
2. Revenue Management, Forecasting & Performance
Take full ownership of Group commercial revenue targets, establishing clear performance expectations across regions, events, teams and individuals.
Oversee revenue forecasting, pipeline management, rebooking performance and inventory utilisation to ensure accurate financial visibility and early identification of potential revenue gaps.
Provide senior leadership with regular reporting on revenue performance, forecasts against targets, pipeline development, regional results, major opportunities and commercial risks.
Establish measurable KPIs across Sales and Account Management, ensuring accountability, consistent performance monitoring and timely corrective action where required.
3. Global Sales & Regional Leadership
Lead and develop the global Sales and Account Management organisation, ensuring teams across all territories operate with clear structures, responsibilities and commercial objectives.
Work closely with regional Managing Directors and commercial leaders to optimise market coverage, account ownership, pipeline development, client engagement and sales performance.
Regularly assess team effectiveness, resource allocation and commercial priorities, making adjustments where necessary to improve results.
Build a high-performing, accountable and client-focused sales culture through strong leadership, coaching and the development of senior commercial talent.
4. Commercial Products, Inventory & Pricing
Maintain strategic oversight of the Group's commercial inventory, including exhibition space, sponsorships, conferences, awards, media, VIP programmes, Nexus, poker, branding and activation opportunities.
Collaborate with internal teams to identify new commercial opportunities and determine how products should be developed, packaged, positioned and priced.
Ensure premium inventory is managed strategically, taking into account market demand, availability, commercial value and client expectations.
Oversee pricing strategies, discounting and exceptional commercial agreements while continuously reviewing product performance and identifying opportunities to improve or expand the Group's commercial offering.
5. Sponsorship Strategy & Delivery
Lead the Group's sponsorship strategy, working closely with Marketing, Events, Logistics, Conferences, Poker and Production teams to develop commercially attractive and operationally achievable sponsorship opportunities.
Ensure sponsorship packages are appropriately priced, clearly defined and effectively communicated across departments, with agreed deliverables understood and fulfilled.
Identify potential delivery risks early, oversee the resolution of commercial issues and maintain strong client relationships throughout the sponsorship lifecycle.
6. Strategic Client Relationships, Retention & Rebooking
Maintain senior oversight of the Group's most important client accounts and strategic partnerships, building long-term relationships with major operators, affiliates, suppliers, technology providers, financial businesses and other industry stakeholders.
Personally support high-value negotiations, strategic client discussions and escalations where senior commercial involvement is required.
Own the Group's client retention and rebooking strategy, ensuring consistent processes are in place for pre-event engagement, onsite meetings, renewals, post-event follow-up and lost-client analysis.
Use client feedback, retention trends and rebooking performance to strengthen relationships, improve the commercial offering and maximise long-term client value.
7. New Business Development & Cross-Selling
Drive new business development across all markets, brands and commercial products, identifying high-value prospects, emerging sectors and additional revenue opportunities.
Ensure commercial teams maintain strong pipelines well ahead of event launches and actively pursue opportunities for international business expansion.
Develop a coordinated approach to cross-selling across the wider SiGMA ecosystem, maximising the value of existing client relationships and identifying opportunities for collaboration between business units.
Work closely with the CCOs and senior commercial leadership of SiGMA Play and iGaming Academy to explore strategic partnerships and shared growth opportunities.
