MLRO & Compliance Officer

Heroix is collaborating with an established professional services organisation in Malta to appoint an MLRO & Compliance Officer. This is a senior-level role with direct exposure to the Board and to regulatory matters, offered on a hybrid working basis.

Reporting to senior leadership and the Board, the successful candidate will oversee the business's regulatory compliance and AML/CFT framework, including client acceptance, CDD/EDD, transaction monitoring, sanctions, financial crime investigations and regulatory reporting. The role will also act as the principal liaison with the MFSA, the FIAU and the Sanctions Monitoring Board, while supporting the continued development of the company's governance and control environment.

• Oversee regulatory compliance and the AML/CFT framework
• Manage client acceptance, CDD/EDD, transaction monitoring and sanctions
• Conduct financial crime investigations and handle regulatory reporting
• Act as principal liaison with the MFSA, FIAU and Sanctions Monitoring Board
• Support the development of the company's governance and control environment

Requirements:

• Must be PQ'd by the MFSA, or in the final stages of the process, and approved to undertake the responsibilities associated with the position
• At least 5 years of relevant MLRO, AML/CFT or senior compliance experience
