You will direct, support, and mentor the software engineering team to deliver a modern, scalable, cost-efficient system that enables rapid feature delivery and seamless operator integrations.</span></p><p><span>This role requires deep technical expertise in high-availability systems, real-time processing, and integration patterns, combined with leadership ability to drive technical excellence across the RGS Technology team.</span></p><p></p><p><span><strong>Location: </strong>Hybrid in UK, Malta or Poland.</span></p><p></p><p><span><strong id="docs-internal-guid-cdc904b4-7fff-2e8a-145a-b0e97795a402">What you'll be doing:</strong></span></p><p><span><strong id="docs-internal-guid-cdc904b4-7fff-2e8a-145a-b0e97795a402">Technical Leadership</strong></span></p><ul><li><p><span>Provide technical direction and leadership for the RGS engineering team</span></p></li><li><p><span>Lead architectural decisions ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and performance of the RGS platform</span></p></li><li><p><span>Drive system efficiency and automation initiatives</span></p></li><li><p><span>Champion AI and automation capabilities to enhance product functionality</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to engineering best practices</span></p></li><li><p><span>Lead technical design reviews and provide guidance on complex technical problems</span></p></li></ul><p><span><strong id="docs-internal-guid-cdc904b4-7fff-2e8a-145a-b0e97795a402">Platform Development</strong></span></p><ul><li><p><span>Own the technical strategy for the RGS core platform evolution</span></p></li><li><p><span>Work closely with the Infrastructure team to ensure optimal deployment and operation</span></p></li><li><p><span>Design and implement real-time jackpot processing and distribution systems</span></p></li><li><p><span>Identify and prioritise technical debt reduction initiatives</span></p></li></ul><p><span><strong id="docs-internal-guid-cdc904b4-7fff-2e8a-145a-b0e97795a402">Team Development &amp; Mentorship</strong></span></p><ul><li><p><span>Mentor and develop software engineers, fostering technical growth and excellence</span></p></li><li><p><span>Establish and promote engineering standards, patterns, and best practices</span></p></li><li><p><span>Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve team capability</span></p></li><li><p><span>Support hiring and technical assessment of engineering candidates</span></p></li></ul><p><span><strong id="docs-internal-guid-cdc904b4-7fff-2e8a-145a-b0e97795a402">Collaboration &amp; Delivery</strong></span></p><ul><li><p><span>Collaborate with the Product Owner to ensure technical feasibility and appropriate estimation</span></p></li><li><p><span>Work with the Solution Architect to align system design with overall architectural vision</span></p></li><li><p><span>Consult with company-wide stakeholders to ensure delivery of an RGS platform that allows efficient working throughout the organisation.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives</span></p></li><li><p><span>Provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support for complex issues</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><span><strong id="docs-internal-guid-cdc904b4-7fff-2e8a-145a-b0e97795a402">What you'll bring to the role:</strong></span></p><ul><li><p><span>Extensive experience in software engineering with at least 3 years in a senior/lead role</span></p></li><li><p><span>Strong experience with high-availability, real-time processing systems</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience with RGS and Game Servers is highly advantageous</span></p></li><li><p><span>Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, containerisation, and DevOps practices</span></p></li><li><p><span>Strong experience with API design and integration patterns</span></p></li><li><p><span>Proven track record of leading technical teams and delivering complex systems</span></p></li><li><p><span>Strong understanding of software architecture patterns and best practices</span></p></li><li><p><span>Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience in the online gaming industry is essential</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Why join us?</strong></p><p>It’s a really exciting time to join Push Gaming.
