Chief Operating Officer (COO) with CEO Succession Pathway

A well-established Maltese business is seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer to join through a structured CEO succession pathway. Working closely with the current CEO and Board of Directors, the successful candidate will take responsibility for operational performance, commercial execution and organisational growth across the business.

• Lead company-wide operational performance and commercial execution
• Oversee customer experience and cross-functional coordination
• Drive organisational capability, financial discipline and risk management
• Deliver strategic initiatives in collaboration with the CEO and Board
• Progressively assume broader responsibility for strategy, shareholders and external stakeholders as part of the succession pathway

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a COO, Operations Director, General Manager or comparable senior executive with accountability for commercial and operational outcomes
• Background in service-led businesses, distribution, after-sales operations or other customer-critical environments
• Strong P&L and financial literacy, with Board-level exposure
• People leadership and change management skills
• Ability to translate strategy into measurable execution
